Zombie

Wolverhampton yesterday for The Pretty Reckless. Long trek, but got a shot on the Sun's homepage today, so may turn out to have been worth it. I thought they were a lot better than the songs I shot a V.

Ten out of ten for JLS tonight - my last gig of 2010, I suspect - both for the lighting and for quite an extraordinary entrance in a flying car...

JLS at Mancheser Arena

JLS at Manchester Arena

For those keeping score, that was 96 shows this year, counting festivals as 1, so probably 120-150 acts shot overall.

I Try

Delighted to see Macy Gray last night as support for Simply Red. Loads of fun to shoot.

And the Courteeners on Friday night.
The Courteeners

Looks like I'm persona non grata this week, as I've had no answer on tonight or tomorrow's shows, and a refusal on another show tomorrow. Back in action on Thursday for possibly my last show of 2010.

Meat Loaf last week one of my least favourite shows to shoot of the year, unfortunately. We hadn't been warned it was soundboard, although I'd come prepared. The desk was at the back and not raised, meaning that even though I had the range, the hands in the air from the seated crowd immediately standing made the prospects of anything worthwhile very slim indeed.

Propane Nightmares

(Missed blogging Janelle Monae - great show, no light)

Pendulum tonight at Manchester Central. Lights were challenging and they certainly kept us on our toes movement wise!

Wake Up The Nation

The Rifles and Paul Weller tonight at the arena for The Music Fix. Review isn't 'til next week at Wembley, but I thought I'd share these early.
