Terrific fun shooting Alice Cooper tonight - 4 songs from the pit, then the whole show from anywhere else in the venue.

Noel Gallagher tonight at the Apollo - not a pit shoot but we were pretty close, if constrained to one spot.

Ghosts

Laura Marling at the Cathedral last night - missed blogging the Chase & Status show on Saturday night, which was incredibly difficult - good to get overall shots of the stage on a wide, but just wasn't practical to get close ups of the performers.

Laura was fine, but as usual when shooting her I felt guilty with the shutter clicks - such a quiet audience.

Gentle On My Mind

A genuine privilege and a pleasure to shoot Glen Campbell this evening at The Lowry. I've had a rotten day, but he was superb.

Seasick Steve tonight at the Apollo - nice lighting, although they neglected to light some fellow called John Paul Jones who turned up... hey, not like he was in a major band or anything...

Shut Up & Drive

To Liverpool again tonight for Rihanna. My advice on shooting this with anything less than a 500mm, preferably f/4? Don't bother. I found 400 on a crop didn't really give me the range, and there wasn't as much light as on her last tour - added to which, there was no central ramp. Very tricky.
