Gone

Really not my best work at Ben Folds tonight at the Apollo, don't know what was going wrong, just didn't get my shot.

Wisemen

Usual Apollo seated position for James Blunt tonight - briefly allowed forward from the fire door but soon returned to the normal spot. No complaints though, reasonable lighting.

No Matter What

Opening night of the Boyzone tour tonight at Liverpool Arena.

Supports acts were girl group Wonderland (who do a decent Lady Antebellum cover)

And somewhat unexpectedly, the sisters from B*Witched, performing as Barbarellas

Yeah

All action weekend this one. Shot Usher and Tinchy Stryder tonight. Usher puts on an amazing show, and lets the photographers up close. There's loads of light - but pretty much all of it backlight. Still fun to shoot though and came out OK in the edit.

On A Mission

Manchester Apollo tonight for Katy B and Tinie Tempah. The lighting wasn't exactly favourable for Katy, which was a shame as she got a good reception and I enjoyed what I heard. Hope to catch her headline in May.

Katy B

Tinie came on late, which wasn't great, but gave us 5 songs which was helpful, especially as he spent the end of the 5th song posing for us. Makes life easy!

Danger Days

My Chemical Romance at Manchester Arena tonight - first of three gigs for this weekend. Pretty manic in the pit for this one, lots of dehydrated kids coming out, and some quite tricky lighting!

Overcome

Fun night shooting Alexandra Burke at Liverpool Arena. Always worried that these things will be soundboard, but good news - not only was it in the pit, but the light was good too. Again, if we're keeping score, I missed blogging Roxy Music last week, fairly straightforward pit shoot, but frustratingly you could never see his eyes!
